Vice President & Operations Director
Shelby Ligon is the Vice-President and Operations Director of Inclusive Minds Foundation. She helps hold the “how” of the organization – how care is delivered, how systems are built, and how people move through those systems with as much clarity and care as possible. Her work focuses on building infrastructure that feels aligned with the mission: expanding access to affirming, neurodivergence-aware support while honoring the real humans at the center of it all.
Shelby is closely aligned with IMF’s mission: she has walked through her own seasons of adversity, cares deeply about balance and boundaries, and believes access to affirming care should never depend on luck alone. After beginning her education in psychology, her curiosity about how people and systems work led her into education, marketing, leadership, and operations. Along the way she has taught students, managed teams, run client services, led SEO campaigns, and even helped run the operations of a skydiving center (yes, really). That breadth of experience has shaped how she thinks about building IMF’s systems and has helped shape the operational framework the organization uses today.
Shelby cares most about building systems that support humans. At Inclusive Minds Foundation, her hope is that every email, form, process, and touchpoint feels a little softer and clearer for the people moving through it, especially those who are already exhausted from navigating complex systems. She’s continually working behind the scenes to make it easier for clinicians to do their best work, and for neurodivergent people and families to access care, information, and community without having to fight for it.
