Our evaluations are designed to help you understand yourself more fully, without pathologizing difference.
Diagnostic language is used as a tool, not a verdict, with the goal of offering clarity, shared language, and a kind of “owner’s manual” for how your brain works, not to reduce you to a label.
Evaluations are led by independently licensed clinicians and may include participation by supervised trainees as part of a collaborative assessment process.
Our assessment process is:
Our clincians specialize in nuanced, overlapping neuroprofiles, including:
Our aim is to help you understand how your brain processes information, emotion, relationships, and the world around you, in a way that feels both validating and usable.
Depending on your goals, the evaluating clinician typically recommend one of three pathways:
Evaluation type is often determined during the initial consultation.
We’re here to support you every step of the way. Click on each step below to learn more about our evaluation process.
You’ll start by connecting with our care coordination team, and answering a few questions, so we can learn what you’re hoping to understand and what type of evaluation might best fit your needs. Our care team reviews each inquiry personally and matches you with the indepedent clinician who is the best fit for your profile, questions, and goals.
Next, you’ll meet with your evaluating psychologist for a 15 minute consultation.
This session clarifies your goals, what questions you’re bringing into the process, any concerns around past assessments, and what you hope will feel different after receiving answers.
Understanding your story is essential.
Your evaluator will gather developmental history, lived experiences, sensory patterns, trauma or masking history (if applicable), academic or work context, and anything else that shapes how you move through the world.
This may include structured interviews, questionnaires, or optional collateral information from loved ones if you choose to include them.
Assessment includes a tailored combination of:
All testing is paced with breaks, sensory consideration, and collaborative communication to ensure comfort and clarity.
Your clinician synthesizes all findings – test data, lived context, strengths, needs, and patterns – through a neuroaffirming lens.
Instead of focusing on “deficits,” they map how your brain functions, how your environment intersects with your neurotype, and what supports would genuinely help you thrive.
You’ll meet with your clinician to go through your results in depth.
They explain:
You’ll leave with clarity, language, and a deeper understanding of your neuroprofile – not a list of problems to “fix.”
You receive a comprehensive, compassionate evaluation report written to you, not about you.
It includes:
These reports are often described as “mirrors that finally make sense.”
If helpful, care coordination continues with a connection to:
Your clinician remains available for follow-up questions, additional documentation needs, or deeper exploration.
The length of an evaluation varies from person to person. It depends on your goals, the questions you’re exploring, your history, and the level of assessment you choose. Your psychologist will walk you through what’s recommended and how many hours your specific evaluation is likely to take.
While the process can sound like a lot, we want you to know: you won’t be doing it alone. Every step is paced thoughtfully, with your comfort, clarity, and nervous system in mind.
And good news – we do not currently have a waitlist. Once you’re matched with a clinician, we can begin scheduling your sessions right away.
Assessment fees vary depending on the evaluating clinician, the complexity of the assessment, and the evaluation type. As a general range, current assessment fees fall between $250 and $550 per hour.
